5 weeks 1 day

I feel like I am lying when I tell people that I am pregnant! it still is not real to me and it is driving Russ CRAZY that I cant just admit it and be happy. dont get me wrong, I am Happy! It just seems to good to be true! ya' know? well I went in this morning and had my second blood test to make sure my HCG levels were rising appropriately. the levels are suppose to double every 48 to 72 hours. So my first level of 271 should have been at LEAST 2100 right? well, I got the call from the nurse who told me that my levels were "ok" so automatically I got a little nervous. "ok" what does "ok" mean? so I asked what was the number and she said 6853..... um? I think that's a little more than "ok" that means that it is doubling every 30 hours! So to make a long story short... I'm pregnant. 5 weeks 1 day to be exact. now if I could only convince myself of that. I go in next Wednesday to get an ultrasound to see how many of these little guys stayed around!? maybe then it will feel more real?

I totally understand how you feel. Every time I type that word on my blog, I have to stop for a minute. I feel very awkward telling anyone that I'm PG. I think especially because it is still so early! Mo, my husband, doesn't get it either.

Congrats on those beta numbers! That's an amazing doubling time! I'm thinking you very well may have more than one in there!

Keeping my fingers crossed and sending tons of good vibes for a wonderful first u/s next week.

Hugs,
Jo

I seem to remember my sister-in-law having crazy high numbers and then going in to find out she was having triplets. Then on the next ultrasound she found out there were quadruplets. Haha, one was hiding. Good luck and congratulations!!.

Just found your blog -- congratulations!! My betas were high like yours and I'm 10 weeks along with quadruplets now. We transferred 3 poor-quality embryos. One of them split into identical twins. Crazy stuff happens!!

Looking forward to hearing how many you've got and that they're all safe and sound at the ultrasound!
